ICF High Performance Home Tour


Building Science for Carpenters invites you to see this ICF High Performance Home located at 84 Menotomy Rd, Plymouth, MA 02360 on October 29, 2019, from 4-6 pm. The whole house is ICF from 8" cement core transitioning to 6" core to the first floor all the way up to the roof level.  All floors, ceilings and roof are concrete as well.
  • High performance footings extract water and radon gas from the house - we have a sample to show
  • EPS insulated slab panels - benefits and radiant compatible
  • High Performance Foundation - explain the waterproofing and structural components and the benefits versus traditional foundations
  • ICF flooring systems explain the system, compatibly with radiant, and also how to connect standard I joists if not using concrete floor systems
  • Benefits of ICF in general and soundproof, natural disaster resistance, etc - compare to traditional homes
