Course Description:
An overview of Massachusetts workers? compensation laws and regulations and how they pertain to residential contractors. Course also includes strategies to reduce workers? compensation expense, a thorough description of classifications, and focus on safety procedures.
 
Course Objective:
The course is intended to educate residential contractors on workers? compensation rules and the importance of how safety will help them better manage this aspect of their business from a financial standpoint.

About the Presenter:
Brian Robertson joined Mason & Mason in 2014 as an account executive.  Before coming to the firm, Brian spent his professional career at Enterprise Holdings.  Brian is naturally committed to listening to his clients, identifying their specific needs, and advising them accordingly.
 
Since joining the construction practice at Mason & Mason, Brian has learned the unique risks contractors face and how to cover them the right way.  Brian has invested time and commitment to the construction industry by serving on the Eastern Massachusetts National Association of the Remodeling Industry (EMNARI) education committee, and currently serving on the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston (BRAGB) board of directors, chairman of the education committee, and chairman of the career pathways committee.
 
In addition to his professional pursuits, Brian is also involved with Ducks Unlimited, a charity committed to waterfowl and wetlands conservation.  As someone who enjoys the outdoors, Brian finds giving back through his conservation organization a rewarding experience.
